In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to install the Webuzo control panel on your CentOS server. Installing the Webuzo control panel will make your VPS, server, or cloud management very easy. If you have already installed apps like WordPress, Drupal, Joomla using a one-click app installer on cPanel, then I’m sure that you are already aware of Softaculous auto-installer. Softaculous is the company that developed Webuzo as well.
In Webuzo, you will get an auto-installer and all other features similar to that of cPanel. Also, it provides a self-contained environment and makes PHP, Apache, MySQL, Perl, Python, FTP deployment very easy.

Let’s get right to install the Webuzo control panel on your CentOS VPS or server.
Installing the Webuzo Control Panel
The installation of the Webuzo control panel is also effortless and takes only three commands and a few moments.
Download the installation package to your server:
wget -N http://files.webuzo.com/install.sh
If you are getting an error saying: “wget command not found,” read how to install wget package on your CentOS system. If there is no such error, proceed to the next step.
Change the permissions to the file:
chmod 0755 install.sh
Run the Webuzo Installer:
It will take a few moments to finish the setup.
If you see the screen like above, the installation is done.
Configure the Webuzo Initial Setup
The address of your Webuzo admin panel is YOUR_IP:2004. Make sure to replace YOUR_IP with your server’s real IP address. Now, visit the Webuzo admin panel with the correct address, and it will take you to the initial setup page.
Now, fill up the forms accordingly.
- User Name: Enter your preferred user name. In this case, I prefer admin
- Email Address: Write your email address
- Password: Enter your password
- Re-enter Password: Confirm that again in the following field
- Primary Domain: Just put the IP address of your server
- NameServer 1: Leave it blank
- NameServer 2: Leave it blank
- License Key: Leave it blank
- Click on “Install”
The Webuzo installation should be done in a moment, and you will get the confirmation message as follow. Also, note the addresses of your Webuzo Admin Panel and Control Panel.

Is Webuzo Free?
Webuzo is free with a limited number of scripts. One-click installation is not available for WordPress with a free Webuzo license. However, you can install WordPress with a free Webuzo license if you know how to install WordPress manually.
